Why will these dates be the most popular wedding dates for 2023?

Not all wedding dates are equally popular – some are more highly sought after than others.   What does this mean for you?

You’ve just got engaged!  How wonderful!  And there’s that flutter of butterflies and excitement as you start to think about planning your wedding.  Most couples start the planning cycle with choosing a venue, and then a celebrant.  Why? Because they are two things you can’t have a wedding without.  Even if you plan to get married at a park or someone’s home – you need to know that its suitable and available, right?

Most couples also have an idea about what month they want to be married in.  The thing is, most couples are looking at the same months – namely March, April, and September, October, November – Autumn and Spring.

Add to that, the fact that most couples choose a Saturday (although this is changing – see my note at the end) – we’re now narrowing down date choices to a handful of preferred dates that everyone competes for.  There are also two other wild factors that influences date choices – numerology and significant dates.  Dates with repeated digits, like 23.02.23, which are simple to remember and people love the symmetry of, are very popular.  Some dates also have particular significance for a couple (eg birthdays, date they met etc) – these may be important for you to lock in, but don’t affect the general availability of the date.  Lastly, some dates hold special significance from a numerology perspective.

It is predicted that the most popular wedding dates in 2023 will be:

Saturday March 4, 11, 18, 25
Saturday April 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
Saturday Sept 9, 16, 23, 30
Saturday Oct 7, 14, 21, 28
Saturday Nov 4, 11, 18, 25
Thursday Nov 23

Most of these you can predict from the reasons given above – but why are some bolded, and what’s Thursday Nov 23 about?

Any date with an 11 in it, particularly if its also a Saturday – holds a special meaning. The number 11 in holds particular significance in numerology.  Following this logic, the number 11 is considered a “master number” and represents growth, development, inspiration and spiritual enlightenment.  When you put two 11’s in a date, like 11.11.23 – it’s like a double hit of energy according to Body & Soul Magazine.  November 11 is considered to be a lucky energy day – so when it also falls on a Saturday this year – you know its going to be popular.  And the Thursday date?  Its 23.11.23 – the master number 11 in the middle, surrounded by beautifully symmetric/repeated numbers!

So what should you do, now that you know the most popular wedding dates for 2023?

If particular dates are important to you – and they are on this list – don’t wait to book them if you want a particular venue or celebrant.  Many of them will be booked already, so work out how important the date is to you.  If you are only choosing these months for the good weather – then consider alternative days such as a Friday or Sunday which are becoming a popular alternative.  Many couples and their friends and families turn this into a long weekend, and set up celebratory experiences for the whole weekend.  Some places and celebrants (like me) also offer discount for weddings during the week – so this could be an added bonus for you.

Lastly – why should a celebrant be top of your list?  Because celebrants like myself are there to support, inspire and guide you from the beginning to the end of your wedding journey.  Engage one early and benefit from all the experience they have to offer.

Looking for a celebrant?  I help couples turn weddings into unforgettable experiences that they will treasure for a lifetime.  I’m also like your wedding bestie during the engagement period – a sounding board and stress reducer.  Lets talk about how I can make it happen for you (it’s free)!
